THIS WEEK HIP-HOP & R&B ALBUM SALES



Leading the way this week is Drake's Take Care at No. 7 with 57,800 behind Whitney Houston's Greatest Hits (70,200), Coldplay's MYLO XYLOTO (99,900), Lady Antebellum's Own the Night (108,000), Now 41 (152,300), Adele's 21 (194,600) and Brunce Springsteen's Wrecking Ball (197,600). According to Nielsen SoundScan, Drizzy's LP has shelled out 1,582,600 copies after 17 weeks on store shelves.
Grammy-winning rapper Lil Wayne's Tha Carter IV made a huge 29-slot jump to No. 8 with 35,900. With 28 weeks knocked out, the self-proclaimed "Best Rapper Alive's" latest solo offering has pushed out 2,074,500 records.
Young Money rapper Tyga's Careless World fell from the Top 10 moving down eight positions to No. 14 with 22,200. Headed into his first full month, his new LP has shelled out 121,100.
Grammy-winning singer Rihanna's Talk That Talk also dropped out of the Top 10 moving down eight slots to No. 17 with 19,100. With four months to her name, the singer's new LP has sold 742,100 copies to date.
Rap duo LMFAO's Sorry for Party Rocking fell eight positions to No. 22 witih 15,100. Headed into their 39th week, their newest offering has sold 733,200 copies.
Atlanta rapper Young Jeezy's Thug Motivation 103 received a one-notch boost to No. 25 with 14,000. With three months knocked out, his latest solo effort has hit gold status with 507,200 sold pieces.
Pop star Bruno Mars' Doo-Wops & Hooligans moved up five slots to No. 33 with 10,800. Headed into his 76th week, the singer's LP stands at 1,573,900 sold records.
Rapper Kid Cudi and producer Dot Da Genius' WZRD dropped 31 spots to No. 34 with 10,400. With 14 days in the books, the duo's joint effort has sold 76,500 pieces.
Rap duo Jay-Z and Kanye West's Watch the Throne moved down nine slots to No. 36 with 10,000. After 31 weeks, their latest offering has sold 1,374,000 units.
R&B veteran Mary J. Blige's My Life II...The Journey Continues fell three slots to No. 37 with 10,000. With four months knocked out, her latest album has sold 554,700 records.
