THIS WEEK HIP-HOP & R&B ALBUM SALES


Leading the pack this week is hip-hop veteran group The Beastie Boys' Hot Sauce Committee Part 2 which debuted at No. 2 behind Adele's 21 (155,200). According to Nielsen SoundScan, the threesome's latest offering has sold 128,200 records after a week in stores.
Triple-threat Jennifer Lopez's Love? opened up on the chart at No. 5. With seven days to her name, J. Lo's new LP currently rests at 83,100 sold units.
R&B icon Sade's Ultimate Collection album debuted on the chart at No. 7. After seven days, her new compilation stands at 37,600 sold records.
Soul crooner Musiq Soulchild's MusiqInTheMagiq also premiered on the sales chart this week at No. 8. After seven days, Musiq's long-awaited new album has pushed out 34,800 pieces.
Pop star Bruno Mars' Doo-Wops & Hooligans fell two slots to No. 15 with 25,600. Moving into his 32nd week, the singer's new LP has shelled out 997,400 copies.
R&B superstar Chris Brown's F.A.M.E. dropped 13 spots to No. 19 with 21,400. With seven weeks already in the books, Chris Breezy's latest offering stands at 534,600 sold pieces.
Gospel singer Kirk Franklin's Hello Fear fell out of the Top 20 moving down three positions to No. 22 with 20,300. After seven weeks, his LP has moved out 221,000 units.
Pittsburgh rapper Wiz Khalifa's Rolling Papers dropped from the Top 10 sliding down 16 slots to No. 25 with 19,400. After six weeks in stores, the rapper's Atlantic Records debut has rolled out 371,100 copies.
R&B singer Jennifer Hudson's I Remember Me slipped one spot to No. 33 with 14,600. With seven weeks under her belt, the former "American Idol" contestant's new LP has sold 316,900 records.
Grammy-winning singer Rihanna's Loud dropped 21 positions to No. 35 with 14,500. With 25 weeks in the books, RiRi's new LP has sold 1,245,600 copies.
Young Money star Nicki Minaj's Pink Friday fell ten slots to No. 38 with 14,200. With six months knocked out, her debut album has sold 1,356,400 records to date.
Grammy-winning rapper Eminem's Recovery dropped a ten spot to No. 44 with 11,700. Headed into his 47th week, Slim Shady's latest release has shelled out 3,842,700 records.
Evening things out in Top 50 is R&B singer Miguel's All I Want Is You which fell eight slots to No. 45 with 11,600. Headed into his 18th week, Miguel's new album has sold 155,500 pieces to date.
