THIS WEEK HIP-HOP & R&B ALBUMS SALES

Eminem's Relapse [click to read] gained over 200,000 second-week sales. With a controversial MTV Movie Awards appearance and performance, the rapper may reach the platinum mark in three weeks, with approximately 180,000 units left to move.

Although the positions fell considerably in the last week, the next three urban releases remained in order. Redman & Method Man's [click to view] sequel, Blackout 2 [click to read], sold approximately 20,000 second week units. The Def Jam release, featuring production from veterans such as Havoc, Pete Rock and Erick Sermon, fell over 10 places.

Universal Motown acquistion Busta Rhymes [click to read] fell four positions back from two the prior wedding, with his Back On My B.S. [click to read] release, which has been garnering mixed reviews.

Neo-Soul songstress Chrisette Michele [click to read] is on the verge of clearing 150,000 units with her Epiphany release. Keri Hilson stayed close behind, out-selling Rick Ross, with her In A Perfect World... [click to read] debut.

Cam'ron's [click to read] Crime Pays [click to read] approaches 75,000 overall units sold. Cam sold just 200 more than Jadakiss' [click to read] The Last Kiss [click to read]. The album has market analyists [click to read] and critics alike talking. The release heads towards 300,000 units overall.

DJ Drama [click to read] cracked 25,000 overall in his second week of his Gangsta Grillz sequel. The Grand Hustle release was one spot behind T.I.'s Paper Trail.

Def Jam's bad-girl-group Electrik Red [click to read], DXnext alums, debuted with a mere 5,000 sold of their Volume 1: How To Be A Lady [click to read].

Mike Jones [click to read] closed out the Top 200 in urban artist, with his The Voice [click to read] release approaching 50,000 overall.
