THIS WEEK HIP-HOP & R&B ALBUM SALES


Leading the pack this week is Jill Scott's Light of the Sun which debuted at No. 1.
According to Nielsen SoundScan, the singer's new LP has sold 135,600 units after seven days on store shelves.
Award-winning rapper Eminem and Royce Da 5'9's Hell: The Sequel fell five slots to No. 6 with 62,600. With 14 days under their belts, the duo's new EP has shelled out 233,700 pieces.
Miami rapper Pitbull's Planet Pit opened at No. 7 this week. With a week in the books, Mr. 305's new LP stands at 55,000 sold copies.
Comedic artist Weird Al Yankovic's Alpocalypse debuted on the chart at No. 9. After seven days in stores, his new LP has sold 44,100 units.
Music duo LMFAO's Sorry for Party Rocking also debuted on the chart this week at No. 12. With seven days in the books, their new LP has sold 27,100 records.
Pop star Bruno Mars' Doo-Wops & Hooligans received a five-slot boost to No. 19 with 18,700. After 38 weeks in stores, his new LP has sold 1,127,300 copies.
Young Money star Nicki Minaj's Pink Friday moved up ten slots to No. 26 with 14,200. With 31 weeks scratched off, her new LP has sold 1,446,400 pieces.
Grammy-winning rapper Eminem's Recovery jumped 12 positions to No. 29 with 13,200. After 53 weeks, his LP has sold 3,918,000 records.
R&B group Jagged Edge's Remedy debuted on the chart this week at No. 35. With seven days in the books, their new LP has sold 12,400 copies.
Pittsburgh rapper Wiz Khalifa's Rolling Papers moved down five slots to No. 36 with 12,300. After 13 weeks, Wiz's new LP has shelled out 471,100 records.
Grammy-winning singer Rihanna's Loud fell seven slots to No. 39 with 11,800. With 32 weeks knocked out, her new LP has sold 1,337,900 pieces.
Midwest rapper Tech N9ne's All 6's & 7's dropped 16 positions to No. 41 with 11,700. After three weeks, Tech's latest release has sold 85,600 copies.
R&B singer Chris Brown's F.A.M.E. moved down three positions to No. 45 with 10,600. Headed into his 15th week, Chris Breezy's new LP has sold 632,800 records.
Rap trio Beastie Boys' Hot Sauce Committee Part 2 received a one-slot boost to No. 46 with 10,000. After two months in stores, their new LP has sold 264,500 copies.
