THIS WEEK HIP-HOP & R&B ALBUM SALES
R&B singer Maxwell fell one slot to No. 2 this week losing out to Daughtry's Leave This Town which sold 269,300 copies but was able to sell 103,300 records. According to Nielsen Soundscan, the singer's comeback album has sold a total of 422,000 units after 14 days in stores.
The Black Eyed Peas' E.N.D. (Energy Never Dies) remained at No. 5 with 54,300. Going into their sixth week on shelves, the pop group has sold 726,800 units to date.
R&B singer Joe's Signature debuted on the charts this week and landed within the Top 10 by securing No. 7. After a week of availability, the renowned singer's latest effort has sold 49,100 copies.
Rap veteran Twista's Category F5 also debuted this week marking the rapper's EMI/Capitol Records debut and landing at No. 8. With a solid week under his belt, the rapper's new project has sold 45,400 copies.
Grammy-winning rapper Eminem's Relapse fell out of the Top 10 this week moving four slots to No. 13 with 28,400. After nine weeks in stores, Slim Shady's fifth solo album has sold 1,269,900 units.
R&B singer Jeremih's self-titled debut fell out of Top 20 sliding seven positions down to No. 22 with 20,800. Going into his first month in stores, the singer's new album has sold 108,300 pieces.
Grammy-winning singer Beyonce's I Am...Sasha Fierce rounds out the Top 50 this week falling four slots to No. 34 with 14,600. Mrs. Carter's third solo album has sold 2,311,600 copies after 35 weeks in stores.
La Coka Nostra's Brand You Can Trust debuted on the charts this week landing at No. 84. After a week in stores, the compilation disc has sold 5,400 pieces.
Tech N9ne collaborator Krizz Kaliko's Genius (Ex) also debuted this week landing one slot behind at No. 85. With a week under his belt, the singer's new album has sold 5,400 records.
