THIS WEEK HIP-HOP & R&B SALES
Grammy-winning rapper Lil Wayne's I Am Not A Human Being opened up atop the charts at No. 1 with 125,300 sold copies. According to Nielsen SoundScan, Weezy's latest project has sold 258,700 records after 21 days of availability.
Shady Records CEO Eminem's Recovery moved down a notch to No. 5 with 50,400. Headed into his 18th week, the rapper's latest solo effort has sold 2,818,500 records to date.
R&B singer Bruno Mars' Doo Wops & Hooligan fell from Top 10 moving down nine slots to No. 12 with 27,400. With two weeks under his belt, the singer's new solo project has sold 82,300 units.
Crooner Trey Songz's Passion, Pain & Pleasure slipped four slots to No. 13 with 27,400. With five weeks in the books, Triggah Trey's new LP has shelled out 407,100 records.
Rap newcomer Waka Flocka Flame's Flockaveli took a hard hit, dropping 15 positions to No. 21 with 18,300. With 14 days knocked out, Flocka's debut album has now sold 55,500 units.
R&B singer John Legend and The Roots' Wake Up! moved down six slots to No. 27 with 14,700. After a month in stores, the compilation project has now pushed out 127,200 records to date.
Southern rapper Gucci Mane's The Appeal dropped 15 positions to No. 33 with 11,700. With three weeks in the books, the rapper's newest album has sold 92,000 pieces.
Young Money rapper Drake's Thank Me Later went down a single notch to No. 34 with 11,600. After 18 weeks, his debut album has sold 1,123,700 records.
R&B singer Fantasia's Back To Me moved down five slots to No. 36 with 10,900. With two months under her belt, her new album currently rests at 272,700 records sold.
Grammy-winning singer Usher's Versus EP received a one-slot boost to No. 43 with 9,200. WIth two months cleared away, his new solo effort has shelled out 147,700 records.
Southern rapper Rick Ross' Teflon Don bounced eight slots to No. 44 with 9,100. After 13 weeks, the "Boss'" latest effort has sold 433,900 records.
Soulful singer Kem's Intimacy fell five slots to No. 46 with 8,700. Headed into his 10th week, the project has since sold 204,400 copies.
Rap duo Foreign Exchange's Authenticity opened up at No. 145 this week. With seven days in the books, the duo's new LP has sold 3,700 records.
