THIS WEEK HIP-HOP & R&B ALBUM SALES

The late Michael Jackson's This Is It soundtrack falls two slots down this week to No. 4 with 117,00 moved albums falling three positions down from Bon Jovi's The Circle which secured 162,900 records in its opening week. According to Nielsen Soundscan, the late singer's compilation disc now rests at 686,500 sold albums after three weeks in stores.

Grammy-winning rapper Jay-Z's The Blueprint 3 took a one-slot dip to No. 16 with 33,000. Heading into his 11th week, the rapper's 11th number one album stands at 1,271,200 scanned discs.

Award-winning group The Black Eyed Peas' E.N.D. (Energy Never Dies) remained at No. 20 with 28,200. With 23 weeks under their belts, Fergie and will.i.am's latest offering has pushed 1,356,200 records to date.

Rap newcomer Wale's long-awaited Attention: Deficit landed on the charts this week debuting at No. 21. After seven days on store shelves, the rapper's new album shelled out 28,300 copies.

Grammy-winning singer Beyonce's I Am...Sasha Fierce made a tremendous leap back onto the charts moving up 55 slots to No. 37 with 16,000. After 52 weeks, the singer's third solo project has sold 2,492,000 albums.

Evening things out in Top 50 is Trey Songz's Ready which moved upward two positions to No. 49 with 12,200. Headed into his third month, the R&B singer's latest offering rests at 318,100 scanned pieces.

DJ Drama and Wyclef Jean's From The Hut To The Projects To The Mansion EP mixtape debuted on the charts this week landing at No. 171. After one week of availability, the project has moved 3,300 units.
