SHANK ROBBERS ( MOVIE TRAILER )

VING RHAMES BET AWARDS

Ving Rhames' stage performance was definitely not planned and the BET execs were very upset about what he said and at Tyrese for telling him to come out.

DID JAY-Z STOP CHRIS BROWN?

jay-z Pictures, Images and Photos

Over the weekend, there was a huge rumor that Chris Brown was going to perform in a dedication to Michael Jackson. Well, that rumor was supposedly a reality until the last minute. I was told that, because if Jay-Z’s huge relationship with Rihanna, he wouldn’t permit the young domestic abuser in the place to be – even for MJ. Now, I don’t know if Jay-Z truly has that sort of power over BET. Another theory seems a lil’ more realistic. BET just didn’t want the controversy of Chris Brown, who just plead out to felony assault, to be the hallmark of their event.

BUSTA RHYMES GETS BOOED!

DRAKE AND ROC NATION?

Drake Drizzy Pictures, Images and Photos

Suddenly, there was a new player in the Drake signing tug of war! YEAH...I am hearing the Drake is being courted to sign with Jay-Z over at Roc NAtion. You know, I have to say that I don't feel like Drake, who has established quite a brand in a short frame, would do that. If he's not signing to Wayne, why sign to Jay? Neverless, I am getting word that Drake is considering a joint venture with Jay-Z's Roc Nation and Atlantic records. Somebody told ne there is a big reason why Drizzie is on Jay-Z's first single and chillin' with Kanye so hard.

BOW WOW'S NEW HOME?

bow wow Pictures, Images and Photos
Well...you know by now, Bow Wow has been dumped by Sony. There is no love lost there my friends. But what I am hearing is that Bow Wow is looking at either Def Jam or Interscope to record again. But, didn't he retire? You know? I guess he retired from Sony and wants to be in the limelight a bit longer. Now, I heard he prefers Interscope, because his frenemy Soulja Boy is over there and they have successfully kept his career alive for two albums. That's something we didn't think we would see did we?

Jim Jones Talks Max B & Denies Being Dropped From Columbia, "I Wish It Was That Easy"

JIM JONES Pictures, Images and Photos

"not true at all totaly false. lol lmao owww," he wrote in response to questions about a Max B mixtape. He went on to address other rumors. " I wish [I was dropped from Columbia]. funny thing about tht is I'm not a artist over there I'm a partner I have a venture I wish it was that easy lol."

Our A&R source at Columbia Records tells TheYBF.com that rapper Jim Jones has just been dropped from the label. We called the Columbia offices to get an official statement, but it was after hours. Columbia has, though, removed him from their website.

"Nah, Jim ain't reach out," Max said in a phone interview. "I'm waiting for him. I'm trying to get this Vigilante Season out so hopefully he can reach out to me and get a check together. You know, shout-out to Jim Jones. I want a check, lets get a check...I had fun man, this has been the best two and a half, three years of my life. I did so much. I was stuck in the contract and I still somehow slipped through the crack and became successful. I go to bed with a smile on my face every night."

"He's signed to my label and I bought his publishing for roughly $90,000 which he cried over the phone to get out of jail for," Jones previously told radio personality Funkmaster Flex in an interview last year. "He sold his soul, the stupidest move I've ever heard anybody make in their entire life."

Are Dogs More Valuable Than Humans?

Flash Pictures, Images and Photos

I’m sure we’re all well acquainted with the trials and tribulations of former soon to hopefully be back on the field NFL quarterback Michael Vick. Not content with the one hundred and thirty something MILLION dollar contract that he signed several years ago with the Falcons he decided that in addition to dodging three hundred plus pound linemen he needed a bit more excitement in his life. So he turned to dog fighting. Vick helped to organize and lead a ring of pit bulls that fought to the death. When his mischief was discovered I belief most of us were shocked at the publics reaction. Animal lovers came out of the woodworks, and news stories flooded the media of not only how much people were outraged by Vicks actions, but also how much they loved their dogs. I remember reading one story of a woman who had bequeathed her dog twelve million dollars!
Admittedly I’m not the biggest dog lover in the world, so you can understand why I didn’t jump on the crucify Mike Vick Purina Train. And even though I was like, “Come on people, they’re dogs,” I understood that Vick broke the rules and should receive some sort of consequences. But two years in jail? Having to repay his signing bonus? Filing for bankruptcy? Dismissed from his team? Over dogs?
To add to my confusion was yesterdays revelation that another NFL player, Donte Stallworth, just received thirty days in jail for, you ready for this? KILLING A PERSON! Did you hear that? Do you get the picture? Huh? In America I can kill a person and get thirty days, but don’t mess around and kill Fido, you’ll get two years! What are we saying here, people? Are we saying that dogs are more valuable than humans? That’s what it sounds like to me!
All this is happening while the abortion issue continues to be just as volatile as ever. Conservative estimates say that over a million babies a year are killed. Now I’m not trying to offend, nor am I even lobbying anyone to become pro life, what I am saying is that it’s an absolute shame to live in a country where people show more passion and anger over the death of a dog than they do a baby!

Armored truck drops more than $300,000

truck Pictures, Images and Photos

NEW YORK (CNN) -- Two good Samaritans returned more than $275,000 that tumbled out of an improperly secured armored truck in Syracuse, New York, last week. But some not-so-good Samaritans seem to have walked away with another $60,000 that fell onto the street.
An armored truck inadvertently strewed bags of money on the ground in front of the Syracuse Antiques Exchange.

An armored truck inadvertently strewed bags of money on the ground in front of the Syracuse Antiques Exchange.

A Brinks armored truck inadvertently strewed more than a dozen bags of money on the ground in front of the Syracuse Antiques Exchange on Friday, according to Sgt. Tom Connellan of the Syracuse police department.

The bags slipped out of an open door on the side of the truck. Apparently oblivious, the driver proceeded to his intended destination, a Brinks facility a few blocks away.

David Jenks, the owner of the antiques shop, and Hanson Herring, who had just gotten a haircut at a nearby barbershop, Cuttin Up, were the first to approach the bags.

Herring said at first he thought the bags merely contained garbage. Only when he began to inspect one did he realize, "Oh man, this is money."

The money was in all different denominations, from coins to $100 bills.

The two men then began to round up the bags and load them into plastic postal bins. Tim Taylor, an off-duty Syracuse police officer who happened to be browsing in Jenks' antiques shop, assisted them.

As word spread that hundreds of thousands of dollars lay in the street, people streamed out of passing cars and adjacent businesses. For the most part the gatherers cooperated in the recovery effort.

Herring attributed the crowd's willingness to turn over the money -- rather than run away with it -- to his imposing stature. "Had I not been the size I was, it might have went a different way."

One man did display some reluctance to part with the bag he found. But Herring said that with a few words, he was able to persuade the man to release his grip on it.

All told, the men recovered $276,160 divided among 14 bags.

But two bags containing some $60,000 are still missing.

Police said it remains unclear whether the missing bags fell from the truck at an earlier point along its route, or whether someone at the scene of the main spill managed to discreetly slip away with them.

Connellan noted that it is grand larceny, a felony, to keep a sack of money one chances upon. "We tip our hats to the people who did the right thing," he said.

As for the Brinks Co., Herring said it rewarded him with a T-shirt and a gold coin commemorating the company's 150th anniversary.

If somebody beats you up, you're not going to congratulate them. That doesn't make sense to me. I'm a competitor. That's what I do. It doesn't make sense for me to go over and shake somebody's hand."

50 Cent's "Over Valued" Mansion Comes Off The Market

50 cent Pictures, Images and Photos

After 722 days on the market, 50 Cent has taken his Farmington, Connecticut mansion out of the running for a new resident.

The Hartford Courant reports that the 50,000-square-foot home’s asking price of $14.5 million was too much to attract potential buyers.

"The house is not worth $1[dollar] over $5 million," Prudential Premier Homes agent Rob Giuffria told the newspaper, as he joined local real estate agents in alluding to the mansion’s Hartford area location, as a possible factor in deterring buyers.

"Celebrities often overvalue a house, so they keep dropping in price,” Giuffria reasoned. “That home in that location is not worth anywhere near $14 million, and it will never sell for that, no matter how long you leave it on the market."

An agent familiar with the estate revealed the mansion has not been re-listed for sale yet, after the property’s listing contract with the Keller Williams office in Ridgefield officially expired in May.

The estate’s removal from the market is the latest development to occur since 50 Cent bought the residence in 2003 for $4.1 million .

Soon after acquiring the 17-acre home, the rapper spent an estimated $10 million on various renovations such as a 40-person hot tub inside a grotto.

Prior to dropping the price to $14.5 million late last year, the mansion was initially put on the market for $18.5 million.

Previous owners of the residence included former boxing champion Mike Tyson and Colonial Realty founder Benjamin Sisti, who built the estate in 1987.

In addition to the hot tub, the mansion included 19 bedrooms and 37 bathrooms, as well as a gym and a disco with a 'dancing' room, complete with stripper poles.
